Seven Weeks Old
5/5/2024 - This week I sent out photos and videos to families individually since all puppy picks have been completed. Yesterday we did a really fun kiddie pool day--it was super hot outside but they loved running around and had their official meeting with the Bernese litter. The excitement of meeting new friends was really sweet to watch and they all got along beautifully. Monday they were examined by our veterinarian which went really well. In this final week we will continue working on their finishing training and receive their 8 week old vaccinations (5-way / DAPPv). 4/27/2024 - Puppies were dewormed again on 4/25. This week their personalities are starting to come out much more;
Carlos is very playful and energetic, loves to play with the kids.
Matteo is a sweetheart, somewhat quiet but still very social (he just likes to take it all in).
Maria is super fun and loves to play. She's a huge fan of our kids.
Luna is very chill and quiet but definitely still playful like the others. She will likely will be an excellent cuddle bug.
Diego is very confident and the leader of the bunch. Great energy for someone who lives a more active lifestyle (hiking, camping...). The biggest male in the litter has almost ALWAYS been the confident leader, never 'dominant', just the one who leads by example and the others follow suit.
Santiago is so loving & sweet. Very cuddly & super fluffy. He's a bit more laid back.
Isabel is the most playful/outgoing/confident of the females. She's a sweetie and loves the kids.

4/18/2024 - Today the puppies got their first vaccinations, they all did really well. With the nice weather we've spent a lot of time outside and they've been very playful and active. Their personalities are starting to show a bit but so far everyone has been friendly and sweet so nothing super specific is standing out yet. Since they've received their vaccinations we can allow visits starting April 25th so please reach out to me via text if you'd like to set something up!

4/12/2024 - We dewormed on 4/10 and for pictures today they all got baths and blow outs. They're looking much more alert and have been really playful. They are starting to be weaned from mom this week, we typically follow our Berner mom's lead on weaning as they seem to be ready to wean earlier than some other breeds. They're doing great eating their gruel and even eat mom's dry kibble so we're quite impressed. With mom taking long breaks out of the whelping pen it's time to really crack down on potty training. We make sure they have separate areas for play & food, sleep, and potty. As they grow we will decrease the size of their potty area and hopefully they will keep going in that designated area! Also, their nose pigment will continue to darken over the following weeks but it's an easy way to distinguish between them.

4/2/2024 - Officially our cinco de mayo inspired litter. They're all doing great and Fiona has been a great mom. I've heard a couple little howls from their whelping area as they find their voices. They're starting to be a bit more active and scoot around a lot but they mostly like to just eat and nap. They will start to be more playful with one another in the coming week as they wake up some more. They were also microchipped today (a week late, I was waiting on a shipment).

3/29/2024- Fiona's babies all have their eyes open and are doing so, so well. They're pretty quiet and Fiona is doing a great job helping them stay fed and grow. Today they were dewormed and photographed.
